2026 Summer Learning Labs
Summer Learning Labs are a five-week, free, fun, high-quality summer learning program. These in-person programs will serve students who will be entering 1st - 9th grade in the 2025-2026 school year. Participating students will receive:
Pre- and post-assessments to measure academic growth
Daily math and reading instruction taught by licensed teachers
Fun enrichment activities like arts and crafts, sports, career exploration, and more!
The Summer Learning Labs, a collaboration of the Indiana Department of Education, The Mind Trust, Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Indiana Corridor, Foellinger Foundation, schools, and community organizations, provide ongoing summer instruction and enrichment activities to enhance academic achievement for students across Indiana.
Afternoon Enrichment & Activities
After a productive morning, youth enjoy a variety of fun, hands-on experiences including games, fitness activities, creative projects, and special events. Every afternoon is designed to promote social connection, confidence, and overall well-being.
Morning Learning Labs
Students participate in a high-quality, ready-to-implement curriculum focused on strengthening academic skills and reducing summer learning loss. These sessions are interactive, engaging, and designed to keep young minds sharp and confident heading into the new school year.

Summer Learning Lab Sites:

Location: Brentwood Elementary - 3710 Stafford Dr. Fort Wayne
Grades: Rising 1st-6th graders
Eligible Schools: Brentwood Elementary, Bloomingdale Elementary, South Wayne Elementary, Adams Elementary, Fairfield Elementary
Dates: June 8 - July 17 (Mon-Thurs Only)
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30pm
Transportation: Morning and afternoon bussing available
Meals Provided: Breakfast, lunch and snack

Location: Levan Scott Academy - 950 E Fairfax Ave
Grades: Rising 1st-6th graders
Eligible Schools: Levan Scott Academy, Study Elementary, Abbett Elementary, Washington Elementary, Maplewood Elementary, Harrison Hill Elementary
Dates: June 8 - July 17 (Mon-Thurs Only)
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30pm
Transportation: Morning and afternoon bussing available (Limited space. First come, first served.)
Meals Provided: Breakfast, lunch and snack

Location: Southwick Elementary - 6500 Wayne Trace, Ft. Wayne, IN
Grades: Rising 1st-6th graders
Eligible Schools: Southwick Elementary, Prince Chapman Academy
Dates: June 8 - July 17 (Mon-Thurs Only)
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Transportation: Morning bussing only (Parent must arrange pick-up)
Meals Provided: Breakfast, lunch and snack

Location: New Haven High School - 1300 Green Road, New Haven, IN
Grades: Rising 7th-9th graders
Eligible Schools: New Haven Jr./Sr., and Paul Harding
Dates: June 8 - July 17 (Mon-Thurs Only)
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Transportation: Morning bussing only (Parent must arrange pick-up)
Meals Provided: Breakfast, lunch and snack
