Building Connection and Community

A Day with GiGi’s Playhouse at the Jim Kelley Career Pathway Center

We were honored to welcome our friends from GiGi’s Playhouse, Inc. and the students of GiGi U to the Jim Kelley Career Pathway Center for an unforgettable day of hands-on learning, collaboration, and fun!

Together with our partners at Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS), we hosted an exciting series of activities that combined creativity, teamwork, and real-world skills. From building a construction project to spray painting a virtual car and driving robotic vehicles, every moment was packed with exploration and empowerment.

GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne, Northeast Indiana’s first Down Syndrome Achievement Center, has been making a profound impact since it opened in 2016. Offering free educational and therapeutic programs for individuals with Down syndrome of all ages—and their families—GiGi’s Playhouse embodies values that align closely with our own: equity, opportunity, and community.

Their work has already touched over 350 families in our area, and just like our Clubs, they remove barriers to access—ensuring that location, cost, or curriculum never stand in the way of growth and success.

We’re proud to share this community with organizations like GiGi’s Playhouse, who believe, as we do, that every child deserves a safe space to grow with confidence, independence, and joy. Here’s to many more days of learning and inclusion, and to partnerships that help make our mission come alive in new and meaningful ways.
